2013 American Heart Association
Old Mission Mortuary staff members helped the American Heart Association in the fight against the Nation’s #1 killer by participating as a team in the 2013 Greater Wichita Heart Walk & 5K Run on May 1st. Almost $200,000 funds were raised through the walk, which will be used to support research, community service, educational programs and helps promote physical activity to build healthier lives.
In celebration of National Heart Month, Old Mission funeral directors attended the "Wichita Goes Red" Kick-Off Celebration at the Wesley Medical Center on Jan. 23, 2013. Sheryl, along with her fellow funeral home ladies - Marilyn Milleson, Maria Hernandez & Nina "NJ" Roush - continued to support this great cause by attending the Go Red For Women Executive Women's Breakfast on Feb. 1, which also is National Wear Red Day.
